PIONEER TRAVEL, LLC is a locally owned vacation, cruise and corporate travel agency featuring a perfect blend of personalized service, great value and expert travel consultants.

PIONEER TRAVEL, LLC was started in 2012 by Mike Edic, a professional travel agent, on the premise that nothing beats personalized, genuine customer service, experience, and attention to detail.  While many Internet sites promise special deals, travelers are often unaware of restrictions, exceptions, and the fine print.  Making the right choices based on price alone is NOT always the best course of action for travelers.  Mike understands that travelers want that one-on-one personalized service, as well as quick, accurate and professional assistance without having to sit on hold with an airline, or spend countless hours online trying to sort through all the internet websites looking for the best deals.  We hear too many stories from travelers regretting that they didn’t call us first.

Mike realized that with the boom of the Internet era, personalized service got lost.  While many agents succumbed to the pressure of bargain Internet sites, Mike recognized the need for personalized, experienced travel professionals.  He knew that travelers would appreciate the values of a full-service travel agency where you’re more than just a number.  Many travelers enjoy the customer service of talking to an agent and learn that they actually save money by seeking the help of an experienced travel professional.

Mike has been in the travel business for the past 28 years where he has gained experience working for major airlines, hotels, and travel agencies.  He has held a Lead Agency Supervisor position and most recently the title of Director of Corporate Services before starting his own business.  He understands the travel industry and how it works.  Mike knew he could best serve travelers by starting an agency where he can utilize his knowledge to give the customer exactly what they are looking for and is determined to provide the best service, price and value.

In his free time, Mike donates his time to officiate for Special Olympics.  He has worked the Wisconsin State Regional Championship games as well as the Wisconsin State Championship games for softball for the Special Olympics in Milwaukee, WI, as well as refereed in basketball the Wisconsin State Regional Championship games in Milwaukee and the State Championships in Oshkosh, WI.

Mike is also a huge supporter of the Ronald McDonald House, constantly donating his time and efforts to helping raise money, raise awareness and make a difference.  Mike helps collect and organize collections for soda tabs and unused hotel toiletries to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.

Recently, Mike got very involved with the Eternal Wish Foundation.  He donates his time to help make wishes come true from a first time visit to Disney World, a trip to a Dallas Cowboys game and a trip to Hawaii.   All assisting with making wishes come true for terminally ill adults.
